of our lands
The Colli Tortonesi denomination identifies an area committed to the culture of the vine and the production of wines with a distinct identity. It covers the south-eastern sector of Piedmont, that part of hilly territory furrowed by 5 valleys - from the east: Val Curone, Val Grue, Val Ossona, Val Borbera, Val Scrivia - and bordering on Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna and Liguria.
The cradle of
wines
Casasco is a small municipality located right in the heart of this blessed area, only 46 km from the sea. The rows of vines grow around the houses of its village, where the Mandirola family has been working since 1913.
Vineyards
Situated at an altitude between 300 and 350 m a.s.l., our vineyards, facing south-east and south-west, offer ideal conditions for growing vines
Soil
The limestone-clay soil of the Tortona hills provides a mineral-rich environment, essential for the production of high-quality wines
Climate
The temperate climate, with warm summers and mild winters, favours optimal ripening of the grapes, enhancing the flavours and aromas of our wines
Integrated pest management
We use integrated defence practices to protect our vines, reducing the use of pesticides and promoting biodiversity
Manual harvesting
The grapes are harvested by hand, ensuring the selection of the best bunches and preserving the quality of the wine
